I love flowers, (that doesn't mean I put forth the effort in keeping them alive. Ha! But thanks to my sweet husband, my flowers flourish every summer) in the later part of the summer, you can find me canning and preserving the goodies our garden produces. I'm not a fan of the winter, although I do very much enjoy the Christmas season, and all the family it brings together.
I was saved in the spring of the year, so instead of seeing the mud, and nastiness that comes along with spring I try to enjoy the renewing of life. The trees and grass gradually turning green, they are coming back to life! The faint sounds of birds chirping, and the wind chimes playing steady music brought in by the constant breeze gives me a peaceful appreciation for nature and the world God has created.
I believe there are blessings to be seen everywhere! I also believe there are lessons to be learned in every situation.
I am an avid bible reader. I read in hopes of hearing from God through His word. Sometimes life keeps me distracted and I don't get to spend as much time in God's word as I'd like. (Which is the main reason for my blog - so I can be more accountable) I'm not looking for a ton of followers, I'm just trying to do my very small part in keeping the word of God KNOWN and AVAILABLE. I truly fear there will come a day that we won't be able to share the good news so freely. I like sharing my bible discoveries with others, and I'm always open to learning more of the many things I do NOT know. I am NOT open to discussions that lead to arguments.
I enjoy writing Sunday School and Bible Study Lessons and you can usually find me in church every Sunday. If life allowed me to, I'd go to church seven days a week! I am not saying that to brag on my church attendance - I just LOVE IT that much!!!
Church is not optional for me. I respect that not everybody feels that way, but I couldn't possibly do an introduction of WHO I AM without stressing how important church is to me. I need the fellowship with my brothers and sisters in Christ.
God saved my soul from hell, HE gave my life purpose and meaning, HE filled a void in my heart that only HE could fill.
One of my favorite quotes is "Jesus died for me, now I'll live for Him" and that is exactly what I try to do every day. I am always falling short, and far from being perfect but I am comforted by the fact that GOD KNOWS ME!!! He knows the real, sometimes good, sometimes bad... ME.
I genuinely, sincerely, with every fiber of my being want to belong to God, and I want my heart, mouth, and actions to reflect this. 🙏
